Do you feel the growing momentum in Helena? The energy in our business community is shifting as more small and big businesses open shop across town. The Montana Business Assistance Connection (MBAC) invites the public to an evening celebrating the growing entrepreneurship in Helena, culminating with demos from three new Helena startups on Thursday, November 15 from 5 – 8 pm at The Holter Museum of Art.

Dating back to Helena’s roots as a gold mining boomtown, Last Chance Gulch has a long history of producing successful entrepreneurs. And though Helena may have a reputation as a government center, we have a strong, growing business community.

It is around this idea that The Montana Business Assistance Connection (MBAC) created a new program to support startup businesses in the Helena area. Titled “Accelerated Startups”, the program is designed to provide resources, accountability, and mentorship to new startups. It is a free, yet extremely competitive program, led by Brian Obert at MBAC and supported by the partnership of EDGE Marketing + Design.

The Accelerated Startups program accepted its first class of entrepreneurs in Spring 2018. The six-month program will culminate with a demo night for these entrepreneurs on Thursday, November 15. This night will be a celebration of Helena’s previous business success stories as well as an opportunity for the Accelerated Startups graduates to introduce their businesses to the community.
