Thank you to our members and partners for their community and corporate support and membership. Your support of MBAC/GEDD will continue to catalyze and grow the communities that we serve.

Gateway Economic Development District (GEDD) and Montana Business Assistance Connection (MBAC) are the economic development entities that represent the business and community interests in Broadwater, Lewis and Clark and Meagher Counties. MBAC was originally launched as Helena Area Development Corporation (HADCO) in 1990 as a 501c(6) business league. In 2005, GEDD was added as a 501c(3) organization with the completion of our first Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).

Since late 1990, MBAC/GEDD has utilized private and public capital resources, professional business development assistance and community outreach to directly create and retain more than 1,000 jobs in the MBAC region. In addition, MBAC/GEDD economic development activities have injected more than $45 million of public and private funds into the regional economy.

Today, MBAC/GEDD focuses its efforts on attracting new basic-sector employers to Broadwater, Lewis and Clark, and Meagher Counties, expanding taxable value, retaining existing employers, and helping employers expand their businesses. The accomplishment of this mission enhances the area business climate, facilitates continued growth, helps diversify the local economy, expands the tax base, and enhances employment opportunities for residents, thereby improving the overall standard of living for citizens.
