Strengthening Borrower Readiness

Join us for a working lunch focused on improving borrower readiness and strengthening coordination between local lenders, the Montana Business Assistance Connection (MBAC), and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

Over the past year, the SBDC transitioned from being hosted at Helena College to becoming part of MBAC. This lunch is a chance to reconnect, clarify roles, and talk through how earlier collaboration can lead to stronger borrowers and smoother lending outcomes.

What we’ll cover:

• MBAC’s role in economic development and business support

• SBDC services and how they differ from the SBA

• How borrower readiness improves lending efficiency

• When and how to involve MBAC and SBDC in the lending process

• Open discussion with MBAC Community Development, Lending, and SBDC staff
