The Montana Business Assistance Connection (MBAC) is a critical local resource whose objective is to help small businesses succeed. Despite the major contribution small business makes in our economy, they fail at an alarming rate. More than 50% of all businesses fail. This is where MBAC comes into play. With a loan portfolio of just under $7.0 million in loans to area small businesses, MBAC plays a critical role helping our entrepreneurs secure capital. What’s more, the Small Business Development Center at MBAC provides financial, management, and technical assistance to start-up and existing businesses in our community. The Small Business Development Center’s objective is to help small business develop best practices to ensure their survival. Each year the Small Business Development Center consults with hundreds of local businesses and teaches thousands of entrepreneurs in their pursuit of their business dreams. By coupling business expertise with capital, the Montana Business Assistance Connection is a potent force fueling our small business community.
